Preorder Note:
Most of our editions are sold as preorders, which means printing does not begin until preorder windows officially close. Timelines can vary based on print volume, specialty finishes, and seasonal manufacturing schedules.
Important Information 2026:
Our team is continuing to work as diligently and proactively as possible to move through delayed projects and keep fulfillment progressing. As we continue to move into this year our focus remains on increasing output and moving more editions through the final stages required before they can ship.
Delayed editions remain the primary focus for our team. At the same time, we are maintaining forward progress across our active production and fulfillment schedule. Keeping projects moving at different stages helps prevent additional bottlenecks, reduces delays from compounding further, and supports a steadier shipping flow moving forward.
At this time, we have a high volume of inventory actively in quality control and shipment preparation. These stages are required before orders can be released for shipment, and our team is working through them as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Behind the scenes, we have been expanding our operations to make fulfillment smoother and more efficient. We have acquired additional warehouse space to house incoming inventory and improve our overall workflow. While we are still finalizing logistics in the new space, these changes are already helping streamline processing and increase throughput.
We have also brought in additional helping hands to keep fulfillment moving at full speed. Readers will continue seeing an increase in books leaving the warehouse in the coming weeks as projects continue moving forward.
We know this has been a long wait for many of you, and we truly appreciate your continued patience and trust. Every step we take is focused on getting your editions to you safely, in great condition, and as quickly as possible.
The Process:
- Once books arrive, they go through one to two rounds of quality control before shipment.
- Any editions featuring a dust jacket are manufactured through our separate US facility, and then jacketed by hand following dust jacket quality control upon arrival.
- All editions are handled with gloves and packed carefully by hand.
- Hand-Painted Edge copies are sent to Simply Painted Pages after the first QC round, then return for a final inspection before shipping to the customer.
- Address update reminders are emailed to all customers before fulfillment begins.
General Note:
We are working hard to get as many outstanding preorders fulfilled as possible while keeping new projects on track. Every edition we ship represents months of creative collaboration and care, and we want each one to arrive in the best condition possible and your wait to not be in vain.
Your support and patience mean more than we can express. We are giving everything we have to get caught up and start 2026 in a much healthier position for both our team and our readers.

We wanted to provide a new update on Etched in Frost and sincerely thank everyone who has continued to wait while we worked through the next steps required to move these editions toward fulfillment.
Following our previous quality inspections, we made the decision to work directly with our printer to correct several portions of the production that did not fully meet our standards. While this did add additional time to the process, it was important to us to ensure the final editions matched the level of quality we expect to send to our readers.
At the same time, our team has been heavily focused on catching up on delayed orders across multiple projects, improving manufacturing processes, building more concrete fulfillment scheduling, and implementing improvements to our internal processes and warehouse organization to help fulfillment run more smoothly and predictably. While this work does require time on the front end, these changes are intended to significantly improve efficiency and reduce delays moving forward.
With these next steps now largely in place, Etched in Frost is currently planned to begin shipping mid to late April.
Fulfillment will take place in organized batches, with paperback editions shipping first, followed by hardcover editions.
Address confirmation reminders will be sent prior to fulfillment beginning due to the extended timeframe since orders were originally placed.
We know this edition was originally expected to move much faster following the sale, and we truly appreciate the continued patience shown while we worked through both the quality improvements and the operational changes happening behind the scenes.
