Production is still going smoothly according to our manufacturing contact. Everything below from the previous update is still applicable. We should have more dialed in information on the ship date come next week.

Our contact has notified us that books are progressing to binding and we have a confirmed in hand date between the last week in February and the first week in March! This has been verified by both the manager and production team.

Jackets are going through printing and foiling. These will be delivered to us flat and we will hand jacket them upon arrival.

*All product specs from each customer's original order will be upheld. No changes to order specs have changed with the printer update.

Due to the extra proofing measures taken to get color corrections where we wanted them it slid our binding slot back as their production schedule has to keep moving due to the high volume of their plant. Everything is going very smoothly in way of the printing itself. The process may bleed some into February but we are fully confident in the actual product and that we will be receiving stunning books to send you all after all the time you've waited!

Hand Painted Edges: After discussing the logistics with our contact to see if it's feasible for the printer to ship the books needing painted edges directly to Simply Painted pages we have decided to still send them directly from our warehouse upon arrival to make sure those books can be briefly quality controlled prior to being painted to ensure edge quality.

For Previous Reference: Important Update regarding the printer change:

Thank you for your continued patience as we’ve worked through this complicated and incredibly frustrating situation. We know it’s been over a month since our last update, and we want to share the full picture of what’s been happening and why, and allow as much transparency as we can now. 

After receiving tracking details in October from the manufacturer, we believed the books were finally on their way to us after their attempt to resolve the previous manufacturing issues on the first run. 

Unfortunately, it has since become clear that this information was not truthful, and the books were never shipped to us. This has been devastating for us to discover, as we have previously received completed editions from them that would indicate we could expect a finished product despite the delays. 

After issuing a very strict ultimatum and having to move forward with legal action it has been made clear they cannot fulfill their commitments.

We’ve held up on this update until we could confirm with legal counsel on the best action to take and in hopes that they would wish to rectify the situation and save the integrity of the professional relationship.

Here’s what actions have been taken to immediately resolve this once and for all:

• New Printer: We’ve entrusted the production of these books to our current reliable U.S. printer, who have already produced the stunning dust jackets you’ve come to love, and several of our other titles that have already been delivered to customers. They have everything in hand and are aware of everything these books have been through.
• Expedited Timeline: The new printer is fast-tracking the process and has put these on priority to minimize further delays while ensuring the books meet our high standards.
• Production timeline including shipping to us: 15-20 days (For clarification purposes, this is business days. Everything else we have received from this printer has been solid on their delivery estimations). 
• Cancellations: We know due to this delay you may not prefer to wait further for your shipment, please email support at help@lithavenbooktique.com with your order number and "CANCEL ORDER" in the subject bar. We are always happy to cancel & refund any orders that experience an extensive delay.
• Legal Action: We are taking legal steps to address the issues with the original manufacturer to hold them accountable for their role in this prolonged delay.
• Progress Sharing: We will be sharing concrete production progress until books arrive in our hands.

We know words can only go so far when you’ve waited so long and how much you’ve invested in these editions, and we take that responsibility seriously. We cannot apologize enough for how this situation has unfolded. This has been an incredibly difficult and humbling experience, and while we wish it could have been avoided and we regret not taking this route sooner, we are doing everything in our power to make this right. We are now including a second extra custom art print in every box, as a thank you for waiting. Additionally, our team is very excited for you to read the exclusive bonus chapter included in this edition!

We are committed to ensuring these books are delivered as quickly as possible with the new printer while maintaining our quality many of you have previously received with our other editions.

Updated February 13th -

Manufacturing is now back from the Chinese New Year, and continueing to work through the replacement books. We're looking at around 3-4 weeks for this to complete. We are talking with our printer about air shipping these with extra protection to forgo sea shipment times.

Due to the discreet nature of the cover and visual artwork on this edition we should not experience any red-flags with customs in regards to the content for these books.

If you missed our previous Important update:

The Hollow & Legend Omnibus arrived to our warehouse, but upon inspection, we were immediately surprised to find significant damages sustained during transit. Unfortunately, the condition of the books do not meet our standards.

We’re grateful that both the forwarder and printer were quick to step in and assist with the situation. Production of replacements is already underway and will be completed as soon as possible following Chinese New Year.

We do want to assure production timelines on replacements will move much faster due to production processes and color management already being established from the first run. These are with the same printer, and further protection measures are being taken during transit.

Once they arrive, they will go through quality control and move into fulfillment promptly.

We know this is disappointing given the wait already undergone for this set, but we cannot in good conscience ship books with higher-level damages. With the nature of this occuring we are opening the option for refunds on this preorder if you prefer to no longer wait due to the delay.

Manufacturing is finishing out Honey Jackets after finding the discrepency on the inside dust jacket printing.

We are glad this was caught prior to finalizing the production run despite the time.

These will be arriving to us end of this month/early March and will be put in line for immediate fulfillment.

Manufacturing is now back from the Chinese New Year, and we are awaiting shipment confirmation from overseas to ensure safe transit in getting these to us due to the issue below from our previous update:

With the slower manufacturing timing we made the executive decision to air-ship these for a faster delivery. During the shipment transit was stalled and the manufacturer and our customs representative have alerted us that the government is currently cracking down on materials featuring provocative content and cannot pass customs via the current shipping method.

We are in the process of getting the shipment back in transit via sea where these conditions will not be an issue.

These will be hand jacketed upon arrival during quality control.
