The Plant is back up and in full swing after the holiday. Endsheets are being completed and hardcases are in queue for binding. We should have an update on where Jackets are next week.

Hand Painted Edges: We’re discussing the logistics with our contact to see if it's feasible for the printer to ship the books needing painted edges directly to Simply Painted pages to help save some transit time for those awaiting hand done edges.

We are waiting for an updated in hand date from the proofing adjustments to be provided to us from our contact.

The printing plant was closed last week for the holidays, and are back up and running for part of this week for the new year! Inner pages are going through completion, while the hardcases a being prepped.

We went through one extra round of proofing which has adjusted the timeline by a few days to make sure all the colors are correct at final. Proofing allows us a pre-look at the colors and what to expect on the final prints. We understand a few customers have voiced concerns about the quality with the shorter timeline and we want to ensure and make sure everyone's aware we are taking the necessary steps to ensure no quality is compromised with the changes.

Previous Important Update:

Thank you for your continued patience as we’ve worked through this complicated and incredibly frustrating situation. We know it’s been over a month since our last update, and we want to share the full picture of what’s been happening and why, and allow as much transparency as we can now. 

After receiving tracking details in October from the manufacturer, we believed the books were finally on their way to us after their attempt to resolve the previous manufacturing issues on the first run. 

Unfortunately, it has since become clear that this information was not truthful, and the books were never shipped to us. This has been devastating for us to discover, as we have previously received completed editions from them that would indicate we could expect a finished product despite the delays. 

After issuing a very strict ultimatum and having to move forward with legal action it has been made clear they cannot fulfill their commitments.

We’ve held up on this update until we could confirm with legal counsel on the best action to take and in hopes that they would wish to rectify the situation and save the integrity of the professional relationship.

Here’s what actions have been taken to immediately resolve this once and for all:

• New Printer: We’ve entrusted the production of these books to our current reliable U.S. printer, who have already produced the stunning dust jackets you’ve come to love, and several of our other titles that have already been delivered to customers. They have everything in hand and are aware of everything these books have been through.
• Expedited Timeline: The new printer is fast-tracking the process and has put these on priority to minimize further delays while ensuring the books meet our high standards.
• Production timeline including shipping to us: 15-20 days (For clarification purposes, this is business days. Everything else we have received from this printer has been solid on their delivery estimations). 
• Cancellations: We know due to this delay you may not prefer to wait further for your shipment, please email support at help@lithavenbooktique.com with your order number and "CANCEL ORDER" in the subject bar. We are always happy to cancel & refund any orders that experience an extensive delay.
• Legal Action: We are taking legal steps to address the issues with the original manufacturer to hold them accountable for their role in this prolonged delay.
• Progress Sharing: We will be sharing concrete production progress until books arrive in our hands.

We know words can only go so far when you’ve waited so long and how much you’ve invested in these editions, and we take that responsibility seriously. We cannot apologize enough for how this situation has unfolded. This has been an incredibly difficult and humbling experience, and while we wish it could have been avoided and we regret not taking this route sooner, we are doing everything in our power to make this right. We are now including a second extra custom art print in every box, as a thank you for waiting. Additionally, our team is very excited for you to read the exclusive bonus chapter included in this edition!

We are committed to ensuring these books are delivered as quickly as possible with the new printer while maintaining our quality many of you have previously received with our other editions.

The Hollow & Legend Omnibus is still in transit to us from overseas due to Holiday congestion. They should be arriving to us in around a week-week and half's time.

Helfyre is complete and Honey Jackets are finishing completion. The last stages for these were not able to be finished prior to the plants holiday break so they are now finishing production. We will provide further updates as these are in transit and arrive to us this month. Both books will be shipped together to us from the manufacturer.

Previous Update Note:

The printer made a final material adjustment on the outer case materials. These are a little more sensitive as we are aiming to match as close to original materials as possible while also adhering to the current companies print standards. These will be both visually and to touch as close to the originals as we can achieve.

These are in transit to us from from overseas we are still awaiting the expected arrival date from the manufacturer. They are experiencing a higher volume of shipments currently due to the upcoming break for the Chinese New Year.

US jacket Production - Jackets should be in hand prior to books arriving so we will be prepared to jacket immediately upon the mass shipment arrival.
